Facts about Maharana Pratap

 Maharana Pratap was born on 9 May 1540 in Kumbhalgarh Fort, Rajasthan. His father's name was Uday Singh and mother's name was Jayvanta Bai Pali. His childhood name was "Kika". On hearing the name of Maharana Pratap, the Mughal army used to lose its sweat. Maharana Pratap's full name was Maharana Pratap Singh Sisodia.

Once Akbar sent Bahlol Khan to bring the head of Maharana Pratap. He was very bloodthirsty and powerful when both faced in the war, Maharana Pratap had broken it into two pieces.

Today, even 300 years after the battle of Haldighati, soles are found in the land there.

Maharana Pratap died on 29 January 1597. He had crashed in the forest.

Akbar tried for 30 years but could not keep Pratap captive. When he heard the news of Pratap's death, Akbar himself cried.

Akbar had millions of soldiers and thousands of people near Maharana Pratap, yet Akbar used to fear Maharana Pratap in the night.

In the Battle of Haldighati, Akbar had 85000 soldiers and Maharana Pratap had only 20,000 soldiers. Despite that, Maharana Pratap kept fighting with Akbar and did not back down.

Neither Akbar nor Rana lost in the battle of Haldighati. If the Mughals had more military power then Rana Pratap had no shortage of combative power

Maharana Pratap is also called the first freedom fighter of India.
